A Pennsylvania man admitted Tuesday that he robbed two Camden County banks in 2020, according to a statement from the US Attorney's Office. Leon I. Stanford, 54, of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, pleaded guilty to two counts of bank robbery, federal prosecutors said. He is scheduled to be sentenced July 18. Stanford was accused of holding up the TD Bank on White Horse Pike in Oaklyn on Feb. 22, and robbing a Republic Bank in Cherry Hill on Feb. 24, the office said. In both robberies, Stanford passed notes to bank tellers demanding money, authorities said.
