She is the daughter of George Francis Dymond Sr. and Anne Rose Karaliunas Dymond. Born in Ashley, Luzerne County, George was a World War II veteran. On August 4, 1984, he died at the age of 70. Born in Wilkes-Barre, Anne was a sewing machine operator at Stanley Manufacturing in Wilkes-Barre. On September 2, 2000, she died at the Hospice Community Care of Mercy Hospital in Wilkes-Barre at the age of 75.
